Thank you to all of those who I was lucky enough to play with and meet at the 2010 Philly Open. It wasn’t exactly the vacation that I was thinking it would be with the long drive out, the long drive back and the long nights of running two Disc Golf Tournaments. But, with that said it was still an amazing trip and a lot of fun! I met a lot of wonderful people and saw two amazing courses. For those of you that I played with at Sedgley Woods, check out the photos under my disc golf portfolio or by clicking here. If you have any interest in ordering any of them send me an email.
Once again, thank you to everyone who welcomed us to Philly and for all of those that I played with. It was a great weekend.
Peace,
Dane “D-Money” Miller
Saturday I was asked to take some pictures of Agility Dogs while they worked out. I took this opportunity to practice with my new telephoto lens. It was a very sunny day and one of my first times taking photos of agility dogs. I think that I was able to get some good photos even though it was a challenge due to how fast the dogs are moving through the course. I was having a tough time when the lens would re-auto focus so I lost a lot of good shots. But, all in all I think I came up with some good photos and had a fun time doing it. For those of you who find photos in the gallery that you like please feel free to contact me if you would like to purchase any of them. Have a great day!

This is my first attempt of taking pictures of a sunrise. I met Keith Roberts (www.keithcroberts.com) down at the Milwaukee Art Museum at 5.45am Saturday morning in Milwaukee, Wi. We were set up and taking pictures by 6am getting some of the early light before the sunrise. Since this was my first attempt at sunrise photos, I had a lot to learn. I was using a new remote for my camera for the first time and was learning the technique of bracketing my exposures. Thank you to Keith, I had a great time and got a couple ok photos.
There was a jet taking off and had an amazing trail in the sky during the sunrise which was great to take pictures of. Typically you want some clouds to during the sunrise but this jet stream made up for the lack of clouds.

This photo was taken with ISO400, 28mm, f/6.3 and 1/250 sec. I was facing South East trying to catch the jet stream within the museum outline and the early morning lighting in the background. The sun hadn’t quite risen yet but it was still a beautiful sky. You can check out the rest of the photos that I posted from this outing here.

I want to take this time to thank Lindsey for the new logo that you will find at the top of my website. I gave Lindsey a couple small ideas and she came up with this wonderful logo. I am very happy with this logo and I think Lindsey and I can do a lot with this artwork.
Thank you Lindsey, it looks wonderful!!!

Hello all -
I have been working hard on getting my site back up and runinng today. I started working on the featured photos front page of the site where I have a handfull of featured photos in a slide show presentation. I also started working on my about page where I put a picture and a little blip about me. Lastly I started working on the most important part of the site; the portfolio page. I have put a couple small galeries up and now have a good layout that I like and will start building off of it. Let me know if you see anything that doesn’t look right or if you have any suggestions.
Happy Holidays

Hello all -
Thank you for visiting Dane’s Pix. My site was compromised in late October and I finally gave up trying to clean it up and completely deleted all content. I am now in the process of putting together a new site. This blog will temporarily sit here until I have come up with a new theme. Thank you for visiting my site and please check back to see how things are progressing.
